IPAY seeks a PART-TIME ENGAGEMENT ASSOCIATE based in Philadelphia who brings a familiarity with the professional performance industry and a passion for the young person’s right to access performing arts experiences. The position will support IPAY’s online communications, public and community engagement, program and event coordination, copywriting and editing.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, comfortable working collaboratively and independently, and able to learn new software tools quickly. Candidates with experience working in non-profit arts administration or education are encouraged to apply.

Staff members of IPAY value teamwork, creativity, honesty, and equity in the workplace. We work remotely, with some in-person meetings required at our co-working office, CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia. All staff members have the autonomy to work flexible schedules, while meeting necessary deadlines and paying close attention to details.

Full-time availability is required for IPAY’s annual conference and showcase, January 20-January 25, 2020, Center City in Philadelphia. 



Engagement Associate supports all International Performing Arts for Youth (IPAY) programming and education initiatives, as well as year round communications and public engagement

Reports to: Managing Director

Works directly with: Engagement Manager and Executive Director

Engagement Associate will be hired as an Independent contractor providing 10-12 hours per week at $18/hour.


  •  Coordinating logistics and communications for programs during conference in January
  •  Supporting year-round programmatic and education initiatives
  •  Coordinating meetings with partners and local site visits for programs
  •  Gathering and developing material for ongoing communications and marketing of organization (newsletters, website, social media, member engagement)
  • Coordinating logistics and program copy for artists performing at conference 
  •  Coordinating reservations and attendance for student groups and families during conference
  •  Supporting annual performance selection panel in June
  •  General administration for programs, communications, membership and artist outreach, and everyday business operations

IPAY Showcase is a performing arts conference and showcase held annually in Philadelphia for the performing arts for young audiences field. We serve an audience of around 500 delegates including presenters, agents, producers, funders, educators, and artists from around the world, promoting global dialogues within the youth arts sector at large. Showcase features a rigorously selected roster of full length and excerpted performances for young audiences, from around the world.
