Sam Tower supports International Performing Arts for Youth's annual Showcase and year round operations as the Showcase & Membership Coordinator. Her first Showcase experience was Philadelphia 2013, when she began as a seasonal volunteer manager. She’s been enchanted ever since. With a degree from the University of the Arts, Tower has worked as a director, arts producer and administrator for the last 8 years in Philadelphia. Before joining IPAY, she supported the work of Obie Award winning experimental theatre company, New Paradise Laboratories, as the Programs Manager and Assistant Director, eventually combining both positions into the role of Associate Producer in 2015. She has collaborated around Philadelphia as a freelance theatre director, administrator, event manager, and guest teaching artist with organizations such as the Applied Mechanics, Simpatico Theatre Project, Bryn Mawr College, FringeArts, Arden Theatre, Headlong, The Corzo Center for the Creative Economy at UArts, among others. She is a recipient of a 2017 Independence Foundation Fellowship to continue her artistic education in international performing arts for young audiences.
