Sharon Reid-Kane joined Ruth Eckerd Hall in 2008 and serves as the Senior Director of Education. Prior to joining the Hall, she served as a community relations specialist and educator within the Pinellas County school system, receiving several prestigious accolades including the Cooperman-Bogue Award for service to children and families and the President's Service Award. As Director of the United Way of Pinellas County, she raised millions of dollars annually in support of local non-profit organizations. Devoted to mentoring students, she speaks regularly on the topics of choosing a non-profit career and the value of mission-driven work at local colleges and universities. Sharon has served as President of ACE of Pinellas County (Arts for a Complete Education), a panelist for South Arts, a featured writer/blogger for local and national publications such as "ArtsBlog," and is a graduate of the Americans for the Arts leadership program. Her personal background includes years of instruction and performance, leading to a lifelong passion for the arts and arts education.
